QB Ted Marchibroda (left)  and DB Bay Lawrence are the first two Franklin players to make the NFL. Lawrence  was a three-time Pro Bowler for the Atlanta Falcons in the 1970s.

Tight end Lou Fogle (left) and coach Jim McCullough helped lead the way for Franklin's "golden age" on the gridiron, which lasted from 1958-93. Fogle took his talents to Clemson and later became a successful high school coach in the Carolinas. McCullough eventually became part of the hierarchy in the Southeast Conference.

Ian Haynes set school and District 10 records with 9,471 yards in his four-year career. The 2019 graduate holds all the Franklin passing records.
